Just before Awareness Day is an especially important time to write to
your Senators and Congressperson! You can also write anytime you
wish to express our need for Government help. Your letters make a
difference! You can use the sample letter (above) as a guide. Also
use the links to your representatives, just above.
May 12 is designated as
International Awareness Day for CFIDS/ME/ and FM. Your letter should
describe your own experience with these illnesses, as well as the need
for national recognition and research funding for both CFIDS/ME and FM.

FMS/CFIDS MILLION LETTER CAMPAIGN
Help Increase Awareness of
Fibromyalgia and CFIDS. Pattie Caprio and Dominie Soo Bush, two
women whose lives have been changed by Fibromyalgia, have begun a
letter-writing campaign to increase national awareness of Fibromyalgia
and chronic fatigue syndrome before the next Fibromyalgia Awareness Day
on May 12, 2005. The goal of the campaign is to send one million letters
on May 1, 2005, to various news outlets and the White House in time for
Fibromyalgia Awareness Day.
